As we share this sad day, paying respect to our dear friend Mel, I just wanted to say a few words…
As an outsider coming into this beautiful circle of friends, I have always been made to feel extremely welcome,& never once have I felt out of place… Today, I stood again with the people I hold dear & of which am hugely proud to call my friends.. Today, once more we came together to celebrate the life of another of our dear friends..I was so proud to hear the minister read out such beautiful & heart felt words for Mel, from all the family, for whom her passing will hurt the most..
It was so humbling to witness & be part of the love that was clear to see today… Memories last a lifetime, & then some…an absent friend lives on in those memories, & they help us grieve, but also reflect & remember the good times we shared together - these memories help us get through the tough times, & those moments when we miss our friends the most..
I will always be truly grateful for how welcome I have been made to feel in this circle, & will always treasure the friendships & memories we have created together…
Today we lost another dear friend, but Mel’s life should be celebrated, as she touched some many of us, with her ability to care & the warmth that always flowed from being in the same room… RIP Mel, once again in the loving arms of Andy - until we meet again… Cheers..🥃🥃xx
Love always, Robbie..x
